June 7, 2000 - Edinburgh

I love Edinburgh. Stepping up to Princes Street was like arriving in another hometown. It was great!
We stayed at Castle View Guest Home, on the other side of Princes Street from the b&b the previous summer.
Andrew and I climbed to the top of the Scott Monument.
Mighty windblown!
We walked around the cemeteries.

Toured the National Gallery of Scotland. I loved these:

"Mrs Robert Scott Moncrieff" by Sir Henry Raeburn (1756-1823)
Margarita McDonald - Raeburn

Lady Agnew of Lochnaw (1865 - 1932)
Gertrude, Lady Agnew of Lochnaw - John Singer Sargent

Went back to the Rolling Stone Gallery on Victoria Street and bought another polish poster. (Of course I led us down the wrong street on the way there- found the sex and fetish shops, appropriately (?) on Cockburn Street...)
